Life Rescue offers a blended method for the Heartsaver programs, it’s a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner online, followed by a hands-on-session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor. The course is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, OSHA regulatory requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. This course provides students with the convenience of completing the course at their own pace wherever they have access to the internet. It includes interactive exercises and videos to engage students and provide periodic points of knowledge transference, along with audio and transcript for students who may have hearing or visual disabilities. Within the Heartsaver curriculum there are several courses available that consist of:
- Heartsaver CPR & AED
- Heartsaver First Aid
- Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED
- Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid, CPR & AED
- Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens
To enroll in the Heartsaver course, decide which class will best fit your needs and pay for both the online course and the onsite checkoff, schedule a time to come in for skills testing. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Heartsaver digital certificate with any time, anywhere access to the certificate and training history.

The Heartsaver Skills Checkoff is offered every Tuesday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. To schedule, your appointment select the HS Skills Checkoff for your desired course in the service dropdown menu. Click the current month and select a time slot that best fits your schedule. Complete the personal information form and click submit. You will receive an email with important instructions and once all information is complete a confirmation email will be sent with the scheduled time and location.
